"What's your videography style?"
I strive to tell the story of your wedding day in a style that's classic and timeless. While I include effects, they do not overpower your video; the focus should be on your special day, not on cheesy gimmicks that will make you cringe 10 years from now. If you like effects such as slow motion or clack and white, I can incorporate them into your video. We will discuss your taste before hand.
"How much say do I have in the final product?"
In addition to discussing your tastes with me, you can choose the music on your final video, supply pictures for montages, and pick a color scheme.
"Will you be the videographer shooting our wedding?"
Yes. I do not contract out any work. All of the sample videos you see are mine, and all of the communication before and after your wedding will be directly with me.
"What happens if you are sick or otherwise unable to film the wedding?"
I have never missed a wedding, but in the event that the unforeseen happens, I have associates who can film in my absence. You will be notified as soon as possible and can choose to declined a substitute and receive a full refund.
"Do you ever book two weddings on one day?"   No.
"What types of cameras, tapes, microphones, and lights do you use?"
I shoot on a Sony digital video camera using Sony mini-DV tapes. Shooting on digital video ensures the best picture and sound quality, particularly when transferred to DVD format. During the ceremony, the groom wears a wireless microphone, and I also have 2 microphones on my camera. I have a Sony 100-watt camera-mounted light that I use as needed at the reception. All of my equipment is less than a year old, and I do bring backup equipment to each wedding.
"Can you explain the editing process?"
The footage is edited on a non-linear system where transitions, effects, and music are added to create a personalized product.
